What are TX MOLD shipping terms?

Our standard terms are Ex Works (EXW) for rapid prototyping and regular production orders. This means the customer is responsible for shipping, customs clearance and all other associated fees once the goods have left our premises. We also offer terms of Delivery At Place(DAP) by DHL Express air freight, customers are responsible for import duties and fees associated with international shipping. Customers also have the option to use their own shipping accounts (e.g. DHL,FedEx or UPS) during checkout if applicable.

How much import duty will I need to pay for my goods?

There is no single answer to this question but a few rules apply. For customers in USA, Prototypes to be used exclusively for development, testing, product evaluation, or quality control purposes, allow for a MFN Duty Rate of duty-free import into USA(US HTS Number: 9817.85.01.). Import duties vary widely between countries, and are dependent on the type of good being imported. Most countries in the world conform to the international Harmonized System (HS) codes that categorize virtually all commercial trade goods.

How quickly can I get my parts?

Each process is different and depends on part size, quantity required, and finishing requirements. Quality prototyping parts can be made in 3-9 days. Rapid injection molding may take 2-5 weeks to complete. More complex parts requiring or other special features will take longer. As for shipping, most of our shipments are via air freight, which can take a few days from China to Europe or North America.

How can I pay TX MOLD?

TX MOLD accepts payment in two ways:
Bank to bank wire transfer
TX MOLD has accounts in Hong Kong and ShenZhen, China.
PayPal
TX MOLD can send you a PayPal invoice and you can use your PayPal account or credit card to pay.

Can my company get credit with TX MOLD?

Unless otherwise agreed upon, all new rapid prototyping customers must pay in advance, we will consider giving 30 days credit based on the order quantity after a period of cooperation between the parties.
Except in very special cases, all tooling orders require a 50% deposit in advance, even for clients who have credit terms. Typically the balance must be paid after T1 approval of samples. Terms are negotiable with each individual customer.

General Manufacturing

Do you have injection machine for mould test?

Yes, we have 90T,160T,250T,320T,390T,400T,450T,650T,800T,1000T injection machine for mould test and production.

What types of manufacturing processes can you offer?

CNC Machining,Urethane Casting,3D Printing,Injection Molding,Sheet metal,Finishing Service.

Can TX MOLD make design drawings for me?

We do not provide design services, so you will have to have a CAD file ready to use our service. You are responsible for submitting 2D and 3D CAD drawings, and we can then provide a Design for Manufacturing (DFM) review upon receiving your order.

What type of post finishes does TX MOLD provide?

TX MOLD in house prototype finishing is capable of providing the best post-finish including assembling & form fitting, fastening & metal inserting, sanding & polishing, blasting & brushing, painting & printing. We also offer a wide array of specialty surface treatments, including laser etching, anodizing, electroplating, chroming, chemical finishing, powder coating, etc. To provide a fast emulated prototype as same as the final product to client, we support one-stop surface finishing operations for client’s convenience.

What are the advantages if choosing CNC to make my parts?

Almost all engineering plastic and metal materials can be processed to ensure the consistency of prototype parts and mass production parts. In addition, it has high dimensional stability, high machining accuracy and high repetition accuracy. CNC machined parts are far superior to 3D printing parts in accuracy, strength, surface finish and material availability.

Does TX MOLD have 5-axis machine to produce high precise parts?

We equipped with advanced machines from USA, our 3-axis, 4-axis and 5-axis CNC milling machines allow us have flexible capacity to handle your customized parts, no matter simple or high complex.

What tolerances can TX MOLD CNC machining achieve?

There is not a given set of tolerances that fits all processes and materials. In every case, the final tolerances on your part will depend on a number of factors, including but not limited to: part size, design geometry, materials, surface finish.
TX MOLD general tolerance is applied to ISO 2768 (medium) for machined plastic and ISO 2768 (fine) for machined metals. Typically, we can hold a CNC machining tolerance from ±0.005″ (±0.125mm) to ±0.002″ (±0.05mm).

What is the maximum part size can you machining?

Maximum part size: 1500 x 1000 x 5000 mm (sometimes need splitting)

How many parts can I get from one silicon mold?

Vacuum casting can be used to closely simulate final injection molded parts or finished products,it’s good option for Low Volume Manufacturing/Short Production Runs. Generally, it outputs 12-15 pieces before degradation.

What material you use for vacuum casting?

Urethane resins are polymers with certain properties are similar to engineering production plastics, such as ABS, PMMA, PC, PP, PA, and so on. Casting parts can be varied from transparent, translucent to colored, and from soft rubber to hard plastic.

What is the maximum part size can vacuum casting?

The vacuum equipment can hold 2.5M x 1.5M x 1.5M mold specifications.

What tolerances can TX MOLD vacuum casting hold?

We provide a standard tolerance on ± 0.15mm/100mm, with the highest precision able to reach ± 0.05 mm.

Can urethane parts be used as final products for end users?

Yes, they can, and they are. While this process is utilized for prototyping more often than not, often customers will use this as a bridge tooling process to get product out into the market while production tooling is being made. For very specialized products, such as medical devices, this process is used for production as very low up-front cost is attractive for short runs. Production quality appearance and urethanes developed for the purpose of functionality make this process great for end use.

How many shots does a rapid injection mold last?

Rapid injection molding known as Rapid Tooling is one of the real injection molding way that can solve the first hundreds of Trial production before mass production. Depending on the choice of mold material(aluminium or soft steel) and part structure, normally the rapid mold life varys from several thousands shots, which would be very suitable for small series or bridge production.

What is the typical cost of Rapid Injection

Due to TX MOLD proprietary process, we always consider most suitable mold material and simplify the mold structure, the costs of our rapid mold are very competitive normally 30%-70% of Standard Steel Tooling/Automatic Mold.

How fast can I get molded parts from rapid injection tool?

Rapid injection molding may take 2-5 weeks to complete. More complex parts requiring or other special features will take longer.

How long do you store my rapid injection molding mold for?

We will keep your injection molding mold for reuse for Permanent. This period can be extended upon your request.

Other questions

Do you have any quality certifications?

TX MOLD is ISO 9001:2015 certified.

How does TX MOLD ensure the quality of my parts?

TX MOLD takes a proactive approach to customer’s quality concerns from the initial communication, providing cost-effective and rationalized advice from designs, materials, production processes, manufacturability, etc.
Once your order is confirmed, we will perform a full Design for Manufacturing (DFM) review to point out any issues that our engineers feel may affect the quality of your parts.
We have the ability to share inspection data with you in real-time so we can work together to address any quality issues you may have during production. All incoming materials will meet your design specifications. Final inspection reports before shipment.

Can TX MOLD provide CMM report?

We have experts and inspection equipment to provide full dimensional inspection,we can provide CMM report or 3D scanning report upon customer’s request.

Do you offer OQC reports? Like material cert and FAQ?

We offer OQC reports upon request. If required, we can produce additional documentation on material certs, inspection reports, certificates of conformance, etc. We just ask that this information is requested upfront on the order as it becomes very difficult to get something like a material cert afterward!

We are here for you.
